EMERGENCY CARE - LEVEL 1
Target group:
Members of the public who do not require to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Course Objectives:
The Level 1 Emergency Care has been designed to provide training in emergency life-saving skills for the workplace, as well as for the public. This training covers a basic range of trauma and medical emergencies, preparing anyone to respond appropriately to an emergency or accident. The curricula
Duration
20 hours – including the practical evaluation and a written examination.
The duration of the course can be shortened slightly for small groups with some first aid background.
Certification
Both practical skills assessment and a written examination are facilitated to ensure competencies are achieved. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
Our Level 1 Emergency Care course is HPCSA accredited. HPCSA candidates will earn 18 CPD points and 2 Ethics points on successful completion of the course.
Refresher Course:
We offer a Level 1 refresher course which is 8 hours long. Your level 1 certificate must still be in date, (three months before expiry) or you can do a level 2 course.
